How it works
Funding cost = position notional × funding rate / 100 × payment count. For shorts, the sign is reversed.
Worked example
For a 1,000 USDT long at a constant +0.01% rate across 3 payments, the estimated cost is 0.30 USDT. A short receives the same amount under these assumptions. A negative result indicates a receipt.
Assumptions
Rates, notional and settlement intervals can change. This estimate keeps rate and notional constant and assumes the position is eligible at every selected settlement. Enter a payment count, not a number of hours. Check the specific contract schedule.
